There are three weight pull event - along with other events - planned for this Summer - one for each of June, July and August and I will be at all of them with my Alaskan Malamutes. They are all near Toronto, Ontario, Canada and cost about $15 each or for each event. I will have harnesses and info on hand for people to use (free - as long as they are entered) so you can try your dog - any breed welcome - and I have sizes for ALL sizes! See the following for more information:

Now in order to enter these competitions must my dog be neutered? I haven't found a single pull competition in ontario that excepts in altered dogs want spayed and Neutered

My Bert and Ernie were neutered for EVERY pull they ever did. Ook and Tink have been intact. There should be no issue with taking an intact or neutered dog to any weight pull I'm aware of. Where there may be an issue is if you have a non-purebred - then there may be an expectation that the dog IS neutered. Please Email me and I will look up some pulls for you to go to with your dog, once I know what breed you have, etc.

By trade I have been a journalist, photo technician, photographer, and art director. For the past 15 years however I've worked in media and design education. I still love to shoot portrait photographs of Alaskan Malamutes, along with action and other types of pictures.

These days I teach multimedia subjects, including basic, intermediate, and advanced Web subjects (without the coding), photography, writing and design. I have no desire however to work commercially - and so my dogs Web sites gives me an opportunity to explore Web technologies in a 'real-world' context.

While I know and use about 100 software applications, things like Weebly (what this version of my site is built in), provide invaluable insight into how 'normal' people (the bulk of the computer world) might use or create for the Internet and not just the tech community with which I am associated.

The dogs are my 'pets' while their Web site is my electronic playground :)
